The Heatherlea Mini Series Finals Day is upon us once more this Saturday 13th August and it looks like nearly all the events will come down to the wire – remember double Series Race points will be awarded on finals day as it is the Grand Slam of the mini series events.

If you have not entered yet or unsure whether you have please do so now. We are expecting a big turn out, please enter online so we can be well prepared with volunteer Umpires etc. Enter Online here http://northdownjuniors.co.uk/mini/?page_id=7

If you have not played in a Mini Series event before its not too late! You can still play in the Finals but you will not receive Mini Series Race Points.

Times:  Saturday 13th August

Mini Red, Sign in: 10.30am. Play Starts: 10.45am.
Mini Orange, Sign in: 10.30am. Play Starts: 10.45am.
Mini Green, Sign in: 1.15pm. Play Starts: 1.30pm.

A Big Thank You to the Heatherlea Cafe and Bakery of Bangor who agreed to sponsor the first ever Mini Series in 2010 and who have sustained their generous sponsorship for 2011.

We hope you have enjoyed the Mini Series as much as we have. We have a strong team who believe in value of children ‘Learning to Compete’. We think that the Series this year has gone well despite the weather. However, it wouldn’t be possible without the tremendous support from the volunteers, young and not so young, who give up their time to lay out the lines, BBQ, complete Makro runs, Umpire, help with tuck shop, develop the website, answer emails etc. If you have enjoyed the mini series and wish to help out in some way, no matter how small, please drop us an email or speak to one of the Team and we would be delighted to have you on board.

Although we are proud of where the Mini Series is now we are constantly looking to improve and innovate. If you have any feedback good or not so good it would be greatly appreciated. Please drop us an email with your suggestions.

We are also open to expanding the Mini Series to other clubs and facilities, so again if you have any thoughts on this please send us an email.

The penultimate Mini Series event of 2011 is on Sunday 31st July. Doesn’t time fly when you’re having fun!! There is still time to get involved and get playing, entries for Sunday don’t close until Friday 29th at midnight, just click this link for the entry form.

If you’re already entered we’ll see you on Sunday and don’t forget you need to make sure you sign in and give yourselves plenty of time before the matches start:

• Mini Red/Orange: Latest sign in 1.00pm. Matches start at 1.15pm.
• Mini Green: Latest sign in 3.15pm. Matches start at 3.30pm.

Rescheduled Mini Green Event

Just an update to let everyone know that the Mini Green Event that was due to be played on the 12th June but was canceled due to rain will now be played Sunday 24th July. Please Note: This will be a Mini Green Only Event!

Play will start at 2.00pm. Sign in 1.45pm.

If you had not signed up to play on the 12th June but wish to play on the 24th please enter online now.

The Series Points Race will be updated Sunday 17th July.
